Character Profiles |
Please fill out the following form to add to your character's profile. This form describes your character's attributes and detriments, creating a realistic and viable person. Explanations below. Explanations:Skills and TrainingDefinitionsMagic Resistance grants the character a natural resistance to magic. Spells, enchantments, charms, and items do not affect the character. That also means they cannot be magically enhanced, by an item or a mage, but they are also not affected by anything an enemy mage can throw at them. Stealth grants the character the ability to move stealthily in situations requiring covert operations. A thief, assassin, or anyone needing to sneak would find this useful. Characters without stealth are likely to be discovered in an attempt. Special Weapons Training grants the character the ability to use a variety of special and/or exotic weapons. The character will be at least proficient in every weapon *except* the sword, bow, dagger, or anything common. Crossbows, maces, axes, etc. are all covered in this Training. Must have at least a three for warrior ability. Archery Training.... sounds simple, is simple. A character with archery training will hit any mark at a hundred paces....bulls eye. This covers a variety of bows, compound, recurve, longbow, shortbow, horsebow, etc. Basic Sword proficiency... to defend against bandits, etc. Basically the ability to pick up a sword and swing at an opponent without hurting yourself. There are three levels of sword training, starting from basic (level 1) and going to adept (level 3). Must have at least a three for warrior ability. Basic Sword Training must also be completed before Second Level may be begun. The ability to fend off most attackers, to beat a common swordsman, and to wield a sword with proficiency... level three is not available as a choice, but must be earned. Must have a five for warrior ability. To dance..... dancers are commonly found in inns, in manors, in estates, anywhere requiring entertainment. Usually performed by women, dance is an art, and may only be practiced by one with training. Magic 101... how to cast basic spells without destroying your party. Basic spells include: fireball, locksmith, teleport (only one person), elfshot, paralysis (temporary), minor illusion, sleight of hand, and others. A spellbook is included. Must have at least a three for magic ability. Magic 201... this grants the same spells and abilities as the above, but also the ability to read and learn from other spellbooks. A spellbook is included. Must complete level one before attempting level two. Must have a five for magic ability. Grants the character three more magic ability points. Necessary for level three mage training. More spells available if chosen for level one or two mages. Grants the ability to seek out and notice enemies hiding in waiting, to ambush. Also helps seek, find, and keep the trail of an animal or creature. Pretty self explanatory... must be taken with sword training... includes chivalry, jousting, honor, etc. Learn the lore of the lands, herb lore, plant lore, history, and general knowledge. Druids can also read and write, and are marvelous storytellers. Learn to influence the forces of nature... Priests/Priestesses do not have consistent power as mages do, but have access to huge amounts of power with divine guidance, when in need. The storytellers, musicians, record keepers, historians... all are bards. Poets, writers, artists... This is basically medic training, field dressing, basic wound care, suturing, poultices, etc. This is more advanced healer training, using the healing ability that is required for this training... learn to heal the patient from within their body, practically regenerating wounds. |
